Preparing a photograph for printing is an exciting process! I chose this gorgeous photo of a boat on Capitol Lake in Olympia at sunset. I took this shot at multiple exposures so I could bracket them in post, but even after using Bridge to merge them, it turned out dark and with uneven lighting on the way.
I was able to work closely with Caryn Esplin to edit and adjust the photo so it would print really nicely. We used Aurora from Skylum to bracket the images and it turned out much better than with Bridge. We adjusted the shadows and highlights, and added a lot of warmth to the image. We straightened the horizon and sharpened the focal points so it would print bright and clear.
I’m really happy with the edits to the image and I’m excited to see the final print from McKenna Pro!
